How we order results
When an agent searches for a product without naming a shop, we choose which shops to ask and in which order to show the results. Here is how.
Which shops we ask
First we work out which categories the search belongs to and, if the agent gave a town, which shops serve it. Then an AI model (Jev) helps with the order by rating how well the description of each shop fits the query.
We ask only the most suitable shops (5 by default, 10 at most). The answer says which shops were asked and which were left out and why.
If the model is not available, we order by keywords. This way the search does not stop.
How we order
Shops are ordered by how well they fit the query: category, town and the Jev rating.
When the query is empty or a shop has no profile yet, shops claimed by their owners are shown before unclaimed ones, then alphabetically.
Explanations of the order written by a model are marked generated_by.
Payment
Ordering never depends on payment. There is no paid placement and no way to pay to be shown first.
